The staff at Camp Mimi takes your pet’s stay with us very seriously, providing plenty of quality hands on time. Whether your pet is here for Day Camp, overnight or long-term boarding, we can assure you that their visit will be exciting, fun and full of supervised activities.

Camp Mimi is located on 8 beautifully wooded and secured acres. We are a new 8,000 square foot indoor facility that is completely climate controlled. Our Doggie Day Camp room and private doggie suites are cage free.

Each dog suite is a secure 6 ft. x 8 ft. indoor room with privacy barriers and is equipped with a door leading outside to a 12 ft. x 10 ft. private covered patio. We also provide several larger “Family Suites” 12 ft. x 8 ft indoors and 12 ft. x 10 ft. outdoors for extra large dogs or a family of dogs that want to stay together. Each suite is equipped with an automatic waterer providing fresh water and a Kuranda Bed for your dog’s comfort.

Camp Mimi also provides several indoor and outdoor play areas. Some of our outdoor play areas are covered to provide protection from the weather; other areas are for supervised hiking in good weather! Camp Mimi also offers a “Bone” shaped salt water swimming pool to be used for supervised fun as well as animal rehabilitation and exercise.

Many humans understand the social nature of dogs and choose to leave them with us in the morning, a few days a week while they are working or running errands; others choose to enroll their dogs 5 days a week!

Each dog wanting to participate in Day Camp, overnight or long term boarding must be fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered and temperament tested by Mimi. Each dog must possess the proper temperament for “Troop” activities.

If you are registering your dog primarily for boarding purposes, it will be necessary for the pup(s) to return for day camp from time to time in order for Camp Mimi to keep up with your dog’s socialization skills. It is Camp Mimi’s responsibility to make sure all dogs coming into our Pet Resort are safe, happy and comfortable here. In order for our staff to ensure safety to all of our client’s dogs, we must keep up with each and every dog’s temperament. A dog’s temperament can change due to many different circumstances, therefore Camp Mimi requires periodic re-evaluation of each dog several times a year. Re-evaluation is equivalent to a day of day camp to ensure the dog is still comfortable in a social environment.

***The above also applies to long term breaks in registered day campers.

***We do not accept dogs or cats that are not neutered or spayed after 7 months of age.***

You will need to provide written proof of your dog’s vaccinations. These vaccinations must be current 24 hours before your dog arrives and need to be given by a licensed veterinarian. Required vaccinations are: Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough). Please note many veterinarians administer Bordetella only by request. Mimi recommends a vaccination against Lyme’s Disease (for deer ticks) because our Camp is heavily wooded, however we do not require it at this time.
